Password Protect Directories / Documents
All web hosting plans include access to a password protection feature. This feature is located in your cPanel control panel and allows you to specify user ID and password access to particular directories. When users attempt to access those folders (or any documents within them) on the Web, they will be prompted to login in order to view the contents. Users who do not enter the correct password will receive an error or “access denied” alert. (This feature does not, however, affect FTP access.)
