New Company The Online Driving Professor Makes Quality Drivers Ed Curriculum Accessible to Texas Teens with a Mobile-Responsive Online Course
HOUSTON, TX, July 2018 – Two Houston parents who experienced the benefits of parent-guided driving education firsthand have launched a brand new online driving course intended to help parents and their teens navigate the world of driving education.
On June 1, The Online Driving Professor’s website and online course portal became available to families who want to pursue parent-guided driving education. However, the course reflects years of careful development of high-quality content by founders Monica Perez and Philip Choyce. The curriculum is intended to make learning how to drive easier than ever while also strongly emphasizing safe, responsible driving. In fact, the curriculum and the dynamic online platform were approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR) for students seeking a Texas Learner License.
In addition to its superior content, The Online Driving Professor offers an interactive, user-friendly interface and a variety of custom tools for easy use on desktop computers and mobile devices. The website application was custom developed by Austin-based web development firm WEBii in close collaboration with the founders. Among the features included in this course are easy registration, a custom student dashboard, progressive course units, quizzes and assessments, and digitial delivery of the printable completion certificates. The website’s structure allows students and their parents to complete course lessons and behind-the-wheel assessments at their own pace and schedule.
