How do I place an order for my customer?

Please use our online order form at www.webii.net/order2.html to place an order for your customer. Fill in your client's information on the form (we use the information to register new domains with SiteReserve) but be sure to put your Reseller ID and your email address on the form (account instruction and invoice will be sent to the email contact).

As a Reseller, can I use a Webii merchant account?

Webii does not offer Merchant banking accounts. For some plan types, such as E-commerce, there are bundled Merchant services available that are compatible with that software (such as SoftCart, PowerCommerce plans). You are free to inquire directly to any bank or financial institution for merchant account services. There are many providers that offer competitive deals for online merchants, and you can usually find out about them by searching the Web.

Can a Reseller register a domain name for a customer that resides in another country or with a special purpose like .edu?

You are welcome to place orders for web hosting of any domain name, but we are only able to register .com, .net, .org, .info, .us, and .biz. For others, you will need to contact the appropriate registrar for that top level domain. Some special domains like .edu or .gov have special procedures and requirements.

What form of payment does Webii.net accept?

Webii accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Check (US only) and Money Order (US only). Payment by check via regular mail is acceptable, but we cannot set up accounts until payment is received. For faster processing, you can provide us with a fax copy of your check payment to 512-241-1773. Wire transfer arrangements are also a possibility; please let us know if you wish to use this method.

How long does it take for Webii.net / SiteReserve.com to register a Domain Name?

Your registration request will usually be processed within 24 hours of receiving your payment. In our experience, the domain name starts functioning within that time frame for most Internet users. You will receive emails from our registration department SiteReserve.com about the new domain.

How do I upgrade from an account to a higher plan?

Send email to accounting@webii.net and be sure to mention the domain name of the account you wish to upgrade. We will advise you of the procedure and also explain the billing process. Upgrades are usually seamless transitions, so you should not experience downtime.

Can I change my customer's domain name?

Yes, we can usually change the domain name of an existing account. Please write to sales@webii.net if you are interested in making this kind of change.

As a reseller, how do I handle billing?

Webii will leave this procedure strictly up to the reseller. We do suggest to keep it simple and model Webii.net billing procedure. We bill a minimum 3 month contract in advance.

Why don't Webii.net plans have unlimited bandwidth?

We have done our homework and provide a fair value in our plans. Our bandwidth prices not only include bandwidth, but also CPU. So when a site becomes very popular, we have to provide adequate bandwidth and CPU. Monitoring bandwidth and CPU utilization closely assures that we offer the best performance and reliability in the industry.

There are a lot of other providers who advertise unlimited data transfer or very high numbers. The truth is, this is just a marketing ploy. They are betting that none of their customers will actually use those advertised amounts. Remember, resources like this cannot realistically be unlimited. Technology is wonderful, but it does have limits. Webii prides itself on honest business practices.

Sales Transaction Workflow

When a reseller sells a plan to an enduser, the reseller will charge the enduser a setup charge, and the contract hosting fees in aggregate. This can be a marked up value per the Reseller's business preferences.

The reseller will then report the transaction to Webii, remitting fees from the Reseller credit card on file (or by check/other means when arranged), and providing the enduser's registration and site information to Webii.

The spread between the amounts the reseller collects from his enduser and setup fees remitted to Webii represent the reseller margin, and are entirely up to the reseller. We leave it up to the Reseller to invoice or collect funds from his/her client; some prefer to collect up front before ordering from us, some prefer to invoice their client with different terms.

Technical Support/Customer Service

Each Reseller is expected to provid-e technical support to his/her end users directly. The Reseller may contact Webii.net for technical support issues or questions about the hosting service on behalf of his/her client. What is a "Domain Only" pointer?

You can forward additional domain names to the same web space for less cost than ordering a separate hosting plan. This is great for clients who have multiple company names.

  • Webii.net can either register a new domain or transfer an existing domain
  • The domain pointer can be linked to the same home directory for $25 setup
  • Point to a subfolder (for a "subsite") for $25 setup and $8/mo
  • Domain pointers do not include email services. Email aliases can be added for additional fees. Please ask sales for these types of special requests.
  • Domain pointers do NOT count toward your number of accounts, so they will not earn you higher discount levels.
