Additional Domain Names and Machine Names

You can have additional domain names (eg: domain2.com) or "machine" names (eg: name.domain.com) point to your existing Webii web site hosting account. This is an excellent way to increase your visibility and bring more visitors to your site!

For example, Joe has a web site called joesgreatproducts.com and also wants to use another domain name about his featured clothing products joesclothingproducts.com.  He can create a subdirectory called /clothing and include a special index page inside that directory about the clothing.  Then, with Webii's domain pointer services, he can "point" the second domain name directly to that subfolder - when a shopper types in www.joesclothingproducts.com they will see his special clothing homepage!

More Details:
	You can either Register the additional domain name with another registrar, or we can register it for you for $35 (for 2 years of registration).
	Additional domain names or machine names may point to the homepage of your account or to any sub-directory that you have created within your Webii hosting account. You can even include completely unique web page content in the sub-directory, to simulate a totally separate web site.
	Each additional domain name that you "park" at the same home directory (same homepage) as your main web site is only $25 setup with no monthly fee.
	Each additional domain name or machine name pointed to a subdirectory for your account costs only $8/month with a $25 setup fee.  Domain registration costs may apply for new domain names. (Some plans include free pointers.)
	Email forwarding services are available for domain pointers upon request.  Additional charge of $2.00/month applies for email forwarding on domain pointers.

To request an additional domain name for your account, please email us at sales@webii.net with the following information:

• The domain name that you want to use for your Domain Pointer.
• The domain name of your primary hosting account that this Pointer will direct to.
• Please tell us if you want the Domain Pointer to direct to the main homepage in /htdocs, or if you want to have it pointed to a specific subfolder.
• Please tell us if you need email forwarding/aliases for the Domain Pointer.
  

1. This service is only available for existing Webii.net customers.  We can only point a domain name to an existing web site on one of our servers.
2. Webii.net will charge you a $25 setup fee and $8 monthly fee for each additional domain name or machine name. (Some hosting accounts include free domain pointer services!)
3. For domain "parking" services (domain names that you point to the same home directory/homepage), there is a $25 setup fee and no monthly fee.
4. SiteReserve.com, a division of Webii.net, will register a new domain name for a fee of $35 for 2 years. If you are registering a domain name with your pointer service, the setup fee will be $25 plus $35 to cover registration costs, and you will be responsible for updating registration fees at appropriate renewal times. If you are transferring an existing domain name for use with this service, the setup fee will be $25 only.
5. Please note that the information sent to InterNIC will be taken from the information which we have on file in User Profile section of your control panel for the account your are adding the pointer to. After the domain name is registered, you can login to access the domain name whois record and update the contact information on file if you wish.
6. If you are using an existing domain name that you already registered for this pointer, you will need to make some modifications to the "nameservers" in the domain name record for it to properly point to your account. If you do not have our nameserver information, we can email it to you.
7. If you are requesting a non-U.S. InterNIC domain name as a pointer (not a .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, or .us) you will be required to register the domain name with the appropriate registrar for that type of top-level domain. We do not register these type of domain names, but we can still provide hosting and pointer services for them. 8. Additional domains are not new accounts, they are merely pointers to an existing web site account, and do not include a unique IP address or its own account control panel or email services. You can add email forwarding for additional fees, please ask us about this.
9. There are no separate usage statistics generated for additional domains. Since additional domain names merely point to your account (just as your original domain name does), statistics are only generated for accesses to your account; there is no distinction made as to which domain name people used to get to your account.
